About Organic Attire

Organic Attire is an artist-owned and operated business. It is located off the grid in Northern California's Coastal Range and is hydro and solar electric powered. The business has been in operation since 1993. Our mission is to provide our customers with beautiful and unique clothing made in a sustainable manner.

Founders, Jan and Gary Stephens, design the garments and artwork for our line of eco-friendly wearable art.

Artist Bios:

Jan Stephens has a B.A. in Fine Arts, a Masters Degree in Arts Education, and a California teaching credential in visual art. In addition to designing and creating our line of organic cotton clothing, Jan also loves to paint. She has exhibited her acrylic paintings in the Bay Area and Mendocino County. Gary Stephens has a B.S. in psychology with a minor in Fine Arts. In addition to his involvement as designer and printer of our organic clothing, Gary is a graphic designer and is the creator of the "Organic Attire" web site. He is also an avid gardener and permaculturist and a talented carpenter and woodworker.
